What do we mean when we say an Engaged City?
Citizens are actively involved in and committed to the success and growth of Trenton. Diverse business and resident constituencies recognize the benefits of collective and collaborative participation across all levels, from neighborhood to city to county to state.
To accomplish this we need:
- To limit municipal property tax increases to no more than 2% in any year
- Increased collaboration between the City and the County in order to benefit Trenton
- To increase and stabilize the State’s payments in lieu of taxes so the state pays its fair share
- Increased participation of newly arrived and immigrant Trentonians in municipal boards, commissions and governance
